Content for kids

Having 3 kids myself, I am in constant search for ideas to inculcate an interest in science for my kids. I agree that there is a separate section for the kids but you have to look for it since it is a single link in the top of the page. While the content there is good, I was hoping for more engagement for the next generation of explorers in anytown USA. I would recommend when content is produced in general there should be a related link right there for kids and other age group. Up front the article should have attributes that will describe this articles is for kids, everyone kind of like a level of vocabulary that some one needs. This would certainly help many kids including mine, who do read the content on the kids section but are interested in exploring other sections of the website as well.

  1. I agree that trying to find educational material, multimedia apps, and ebooks is hard to find if you don't already know where to look. This should have a higher profile from the homepage

  2. You can add to that interactive games that will call kid's attention. The games should explain how a system works and how to apply in real life. Sometimes, even for grown ups, kids need examples and intearction to get the concept right.

  4. I agree. I think it should include content for toddlers and preschool aged kids too. My son is 3 and loves space, so I was hoping for something geared more towards his age.

  5. With the recent discoveries being made by the Curiosity rover on Mars it appears we have a whole planet that has become one big archaeological dig. We need to start promoting the need for trained archaeologists willing to travel to Mars to research the recent deceased extraterrestrial civilization that seems to have met a tragic demise either through a nuclear holocaust or an asteroid impact. This is not a joke. Mars had an extraterrestrial civilization and the images coming back from Curiosity have already proven it.
